Earlier last month Impact Hub Yerevan kicked off the CirculUP! program with a special launch event focused on driving circular economy initiatives in Armenia.
The event featured engaging Welcoming Speeches by Frank Hess (EU Delegation), Tatiana Glad (CEO – Impact Hub Global Network), and Gevorg Poghosyan (CEO – Impact Hub Yerevan).
Harald Friedl, a global strategist & activist, inspired us with insights on hacking a broken system while building a sustainable future through Circular Economy.
Ani Baboomian, Program Manager at Impact Hub Global Network, went on to present the CirculUP! Program details which will be working with different stakeholders to bring a systemic shift in Armenia towards circularity. Liana Margaryan, President of Environment & Health NGO, then shared their research results on Circular Economy in the SME sector in Armenia outlining opportunities and obstacles.
The event then wrapped up with an insightful panel discussion moderated by Alberto Masseti-Zannini (Global Development Director, Impact Hub Network) with Frank Hess (EU), Tatiana Glad (Impact Hub Global Network), Harald Friedl, economist Tigran Jrbashyan, and Lusine Avetisyan from the ministry of environment.
