Description and Goal
The CirculUP! Project is happy to announce a new opportunity for civil society organizations (CSOs) in Armenia to apply for financial support aimed at promoting awareness and understanding of the circular economy.
This project is led by the Impact Hub Network, Impact Hub Yerevan, and the Environment and Health NGO – funded by the European Union in Armenia.
CirculUP! seeks to spark a systemic shift toward circularity across Armenia, empowering communities, businesses, and individuals to reduce waste, reuse resources, and contribute to long-term environmental sustainability.
This initiative provides a unique platform for Armenian CSOs to innovate in their outreach efforts, create impactful campaigns, and deepen public engagement with circular economy principles.
Benefits
Selected CSOs will each receive financial support of up to 12,500 EUR to implement awareness-raising campaigns centered around the circular economy. By participating, CSOs will:
- Gain access to tailored capacity-building activities, including impact measurement, reporting, and more.
- Receive communication materials in various formats to enhance their outreach.
- Join a movement to educate and inspire Armenians on sustainable practices, ultimately contributing to a greener future for Armenia.
- Establish connections with key stakeholders and leverage media support to amplify their message.
Timeline
- Application Deadline: December 8, 2024
- Results will be announced: By the end of December 2024
- Campaign Implementation Period: January – June 2024
Target Group
The target audience for this opportunity includes Armenian CSOs that have a focus on community engagement, environmental sustainability, or social impact.
Priority will be given to organizations that reach out to the regions of Armenia, university students, or secondary schools, as well as those that demonstrate innovative and creative strategies for public engagement.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Be a registered CSO operating in the Republic of Armenia.
2. Demonstrate the necessary skills, resources, and management structures to effectively execute the proposed activities.
3. Possess knowledge of circular economy principles.
4. Have basic internal quality assurance and management systems in place.
5. Preference will be given to organizations that focus on Armenia’s regional areas, university students, or secondary schools.
Selection Criteria
Applications will be assessed based on:
1. Quality and clarity of the project description.
2. Potential impact on public understanding of circular economy principles.
3. Experience in communications campaigns, particularly in regional areas or educational institutions.
4. Team capability and experience.
5. Reach and target audience.
6. Originality and creativity in approach.
7. Feasibility, practicality, and budget transparency.
The selected CSOs will receive financial support of up to 12,500 EUR each to implement their campaigns, inspiring Armenians to embrace the principles of circularity and sustainability.
How to Apply
Interested CSOs can apply by downloading, filling in, and submitting the following documents by December 8, 2024, in English or Armenian by filling out the following form and uploading all the required documents through this link.
Required documents:
- Narrative and Financial Proposal
- Copy of state registration certificate of the applicant organization.
- Optional 3-minute video describing the organization’s proposed campaign idea.
Please read all documents carefully before preparing your application and proposal.
Each applicant can submit only one proposal. Failure to submit an application package containing all the required information and documentation may lead to the rejection of the proposal. Failure to submit an application within the specified deadline may lead to the rejection of the proposal.
To help you prepare your application, we have also prepared the following three documents:
- Guideline: How to Create a Detailed Budget for Using the Grant: This guideline will help you prepare the budget (Annex 2) that you will submit along with your application.
- From “Take-Make-Waste” to Circular Economy: Paving the Path to a Sustainable Future: This is a guideline that will help you understand, assess, and implement strategies toward a circular economy in your startup.
